Chilean singer and songwriter Von Dippel is making waves once again with her latest single, “Laberinto.” Following the remarkable success of her previous album, “Sin miedo a la muerte,” this new release marks a significant step in Von Dippel’s artistic journey, showcasing a fresh, evolved sound that captivates and challenges listeners.

“Laberinto” delves into the emotional maze that one must navigate to overcome chaos and internal resistance. The single’s exploration of these themes is mirrored in its sound—distinctly grittier and more rugged compared to Von Dippel’s earlier works. This shift highlights a significant evolution in her artistry, embracing a rawer, more intense musical texture that underscores her growth as an artist.

Produced and recorded by Franco Gabelo, who also plays all the instruments on the track, “Laberinto” is a testament to meticulous craftsmanship. Joaquín García handled the mastering, ensuring the track’s final sound is polished and impactful. The composition of the song is a collaborative effort between Paola Dippel, Felipe Moser, and Franco Gabelo, blending their unique influences to create a powerful new piece.

The accompanying music video for “Laberinto” was directed by Joaquín Salinas of Barricada Film. The visual component of the release, produced and edited by Paola Dippel of Lengua Verde, complements the single’s rugged sound with striking imagery. The video features contributions from notable musicians including Franco Gabelo on drums, Maloso on bass, and Marco Saraniti on guitar.

Von Dippel, the artistic alter ego of Paola Dippel, hails from Concepción, Chile. Her musical career began at age 17, and she was a prominent member of the band Malaseda from 1996 to 2008. Since 2010, Von Dippel has carved out a successful solo career rooted in the raw intensity of hard rock. Her work is characterized by honest lyrics and powerful riffs, earning her critical acclaim and a devoted fan base.

Von Dippel’s discography includes “Dentro del Espejo” (EP 2014), “Sesión en vivo Estudios Gabelo” (EP 2021), and “Sin Miedo a la Muerte” (LP 2022), along with singles such as “Más allá del sol,” “Las Promesas del Jamás,” and “Drogas y Alcohol.”
