CONWAY THE MACHINE & JAE SKEESE RELEASE JOINT PROJECT ‘PAIN PROVIDED PROFIT’

The first signee to Conway The Machine’s Drumwork Music Group imprint, Jae Skeese appeared on two songs on the deluxe version of Conway The Machine’s From King To A GOD, and the first single, “Blood Roses,” from La Maquina.  Skeese continued his ascent by not only appearing (“Drumwork” with fellow signee 7xvethegenius) on Conway’s Shady Records debut album God Don’t Make Mistakes but also by contributing to the album’s rollout, as Skeese murked two different freestyles alongside Conway on Bootleg Kev and LA Leakers. 

After finishing up his recent sold-out Reject Mania European tour dates, and announcing his own forthcoming solo album, Won’t He Do It, Conway The Machine’s Drumwork Records Spring takeover continues with, Pain Provided Profit, his collaborative project with Jae Skeese, which is now available.    

Pain Provided Profit is the standard-bearer for what Drumwork Records values are at the core level; creating street-certified art made explicitly for the culture at large.

After teaming up with Boldy James to release Real Bad Boldy (2021) and Killing Nothing (2022) and linking up with rising star Pink Siifu for Real Bad Flights (2022), Real Bad Man returns to announce his first collaborative project of the year with Serpent. 

Serpent brings Real Bad Man together with the inimitable Kool Keith and after announcing their forthcoming collaborative project with “Fire & Ice,” which also featured Slug from Atmosphere and Ice-T, the duo is now back with Serpent’s second focus track “The Great Marlowe.”  “The Great Marlowe” is now available.   

Kool Keith x Real Bad Man’s Serpent will be released on 3-24-23.

Born and raised in Queens, NY, Meyhem Lauren has long been one of the culture’s most reliable brands; built from quality, consistency, and flavor.  The multi-media artist and personality takes pride in expressing himself artistically from a raw and unfettered perspective.

In addition to his musical contributions, Meyhem has also gained international notoriety as a charismatic cast member on the smash TV series Fu*c That’s Delicious; alongside long-time friends and frequent collaborators Action Bronson, Big Body Bes, and The Alchemist.  When not composing masterpieces, Meyhem Lauren also does voice work, which has been heard in memorable commercials and campaigns for FIFA World Cup and the NFL Super Bowl. 

Meyhem has an extensive collaborative musical history, which includes previous projects with DJ Muggs, Harry Fraud, Buckwild, Madlib, and most recently Black Vladimir with Daringer.

For his next entrée, Meyhem restores his chemistry with two iconic and legendary producers Madlib and DJ Muggs, as the trio announces their forthcoming collaborative album Champagne For Breakfast.  Produced in its entirety by Madlib and DJ Muggs, Champagne For Breakfast will be released on 4-7-23. 

Meyhem Lauren x Madlib and DJ Muggs have now liberated two sparkling singles from Champagne For Breakfast with “Wild Salmon,” and “Fresh Out The Water,” (which also includes a new video).  Both singles are now available!

DJ Muggs is a West Coast legend. He is the Creator and Producer of Cypress Hill, the Producer of House Of Pain's "Jump Around", Ice Cube's "Check Yourself", as well as tracks with MF Doom, Westside Gunn, Action Bronson, Conway The Machine and many, many more, and the multiple time Grammy award nominee is more active than ever.  In the last few years alone he has released projects with Mach-Hommy, Roc Marciano, Yelawolf, Rome Streetz and Jay Worthy; and he’s currently putting the finishing touches on the forthcoming Soul Assassins 4 album.

Madlib has become one of the most celebrated, prolific and eclectic artists in hip-hop since emerging on the scene in the early 90s.  The unique sound and feel of Madlib’s work have made him a valued collaborator with a number of leading performers, and a widely praised figure in the rap community.  Madlib has already released Liberation 2 with Talib Kweli and In The Beginning, Vol 3 with Declaime this calendar year. 

Meyhem, DJ Muggs and Madlib, announce their forthcoming collaborative album Champagne For Breakfast.  Produced in its entirety by DJ Muggs and Madlib, Champagne For Breakfast, will be released on 4-7-23 via Soul Assassins Records. 

Meyhem, Muggs and Madlib also have an extensive collaborative history.  Meyhem has previous projects with DJ Muggs (Gems From The Equinox 2017, Frozen Angels 2018 & Members Only 2019), Harry Fraud, Buckwild, and most recently Black Vladimir with Daringer. 

Meyhem x DJ Muggs and Madlib have now released one of Champagne For Breakfast’s most anticipated tracks, “Szechuan Capital,” featuring Action Bronson.  “Szechuan Capital” is now available. 

“Szechuan Capital” is the name of a restaurant in Flushing Queens that closed down around 20 years ago,” Meyhem remarked.  “It was a special spot in Flushing and Action is a special human from Flushing so it all made sense; at least to me.”
