As many of you know, this year marks the 100th anniversary of Disney, founded in 1928. Lalouise, aka Luisa von Lutterotti, a singer from Cles but of Apulian and Austrian origin, has decided to pay tribute to this important anniversary with a mini album titled “Once upon a Disney Princess – Once upon a time a Disney princess” which was released on December 22, 2023.
It is a three-cover of the most iconic pieces of the beloved princesses Cinderella, Aurora and Anastasia (even if the latter, technically, would not be Disney): timeless pieces reinterpreted with the inseparable ukulele. The songs are half in English, to engage a wider audience, and half in Italian, to stay true to our childhood and to the version that we all know.
To celebrate this beautiful Christmas gift, today, Friday, December 15, the first single “Once upon a December – Quando viene dicembre” was released. The other songs are “Once upon a Dream” from Sleeping Beauty and “I sogni son desideri”, the original title of “Dream is a wish your heart makes”, recorded and produced in the MetròRec studio in Arco by Marco Sirio Pivetti.
The whole thing is seasoned with a little surprise: a track made in collaboration with classical guitarist Pierluigi Colangelo, founder of the digital label Algoritmo. The song in question is from “The Nightmare before Christmas” by Tim Burton and… to find out “What it is” you have to wait until December 22.
In the princess project, in particular in the photographs that serve as covers, other artists from Cles are involved.
“What fascinates us about Disney masterpieces,” explains Lalouise, “is not only the film itself, but also the soundtrack, the wonderful clothes and the hairstyles. I therefore decided to combine all these things by taking advantage of the help of three Cles professionals: Margherita de Cles, who in her atelier “La Cles” creates vegan silk dresses that are little dreams, Gianmarco Allegrini, who in his salon “Crinis a Pez” gives happiness and beauty and the photographer Denise Smalzi who is able to impeccably capture the right light and bring out the magic from every frame.“
By collaborating together, they have managed to create photographs that recall that Disney-worthy fairytale taste.
“This wonderful shoot,” adds Lalouise, “really made me feel like a princess for a day and gave me a boost of self-esteem that’s better than 10 therapy sessions. We all need to feel beautiful every once in a while, it’s an experience I highly recommend to everyone.“
