Nigerian international singer Ayodeji Balogun professionally known as Wizkid has lost his beloved mother.

Starboy’s mum, Mrs Jane Dolapo Balogun, passed to the great beyond at around 1.30 am, Friday being 18th August, 2023. Sunday Aare, Wizkid’s longtime manager confirmed the news of her demise to the press, he said Mrs Balogun died in the early hours of Friday.

“Yes, she died this morning, at about 1.30 am,” Aare said.

Prior to her demise, no news of her illness was made known to the press.

The late Balogun is the mother to two other children, Yetunde Balogun and Lade Balogun.
