Kehinde Oladele Arifayan better known as ”Keybone”, a Nigerian independent artist and songwriter releases a new song titled ”Break” featuring Ozhane Selassie.
 

 

 
Break is an ode to veteran artists and also a
motivational song to emerging acts. It is a victorious theme song
celebrating the break out from the underground into the limelight,
letting you know giving up isn’t an option. This pop rap and chilled
song will put you in a happy mood and the record was produced by Skobs.
The song is now available on all digital streaming platforms and stores

Wendy Shay “Broken Heart Doesn’t Care If You’re A Celebrity”

 

Rufftown Records artist, Wendy Asiamah Addo, widely known as Wendy
Shay has bared out heart about her long break from the music scene and what
she went through in the hands of love.

The dancehall artiste who is one of the controversial artist in Ghana
has shared her experience at the hands of love and how she coped.

Shay has said that broken hearts are inevitable and inconsiderate of a person’s societal status. “Broken
heart is universal. It doesn’t know if you’re an artist, star, or
whatever. It can happen to a man, it can happen to a woman,” she said.

Speaking about her new song titled ‘survivor’, the dancehall
artist revealed that her broken heart experience inspired the new song.

 

“My new song ‘Survivor’ is a broken heart song, it’s a personal song
to me,” she said. She also indicated that the piece has intentionally
been tailored to empower women, especially those in abusive
relationships.  

“What really gingered this song was when I heard
the death of the late Nigerian Gospel singer Osinachi. So I decided to
do a song to empower women, especially those who are in abusive
relationships,” she added.

 Jamestown Coffee will transform into Cat Mama’s world on July 7 as Ria Boss thrills fans with a live show. Dubbed Ria Boss Live At The Warehouse, the neo-soul singer will serenade fans and patrons with once-in-a-lifetime renditions of songs from her debut live album, Remember.


 

The event which is slated to start at 7 PM, Ria Boss Live At The Warehouse is part
of promotions for her recently released 11-track album. It also comes
after constant pleas from her fans to experience their favorite songs
live. The night will see Ria Boss play with The Musical Lunatics, the Ghanaian band which produced the album.

Citing Osibisa, Erykah Badu, D’Angelo, and Jill Scott, among others,

‘She Will Always Be My Posh’ David Beckham Says As He and Victoria Mark Their 23rd Wedding Anniversary

 

It’ has been 23 years strong for David Beckham and his wife Victoria!

The soccer legend and ormer Spice Girls member marked
their 23rd wedding anniversary with sweet social media tributes to one
another on
Monday.

Victoria, age 48, had a funny head start on Instagram, captioning the photo of herself and David, 47. “They say he isn’t funny, they say I never smile, they said it wouldn’t last 😂,” she teased.

She
continued on a serious note, “Today we celebrate 23 years being
married. David you are my everything, I love you so much!!!! 💕” she added.

 


Meanwhile, David shared a clip from a throwback appearance on Sacha Baron Cohen’s Ali G Show, where he was asked if he was “into the Spice Girls” before they officially met.

“No, but I was into Posh,” David replied, citing his wife’s nickname in the chart-topping girl group.

He
repeated the quote in his caption. “No but I was into Posh 🖤,” David
wrote. “23 years ago today Posh became Mrs Beckham, but she will always
be Posh ❤️.”

“Happy Anniversary,” he added. “WOW, 23 years & 4 beautiful kiddies ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I love you, we all love you ❤️.”

Victoria and David got married in 1999 in Ireland. They are blessed with sons Cruz, 17, Romeo, 19, Brooklyn, 23, and daughter Harper, 10.

The couple haven’t been shy about their feelings towards one another on social media.

In May, Victoria celebrated David’s birthday with a similarly sweet Instagram post, sharing memorial photos from a recent tropical vacation. “I love you so much @davidbeckham,” she wrote, captioning the photos.
“You are the most incredible husband anyone could wish for and I feel
truly blessed. You are my everything x I love you so so much x happy
birthday 💕💕💕💕.”

Musician believed in the communal powers of music

Joshua Brookshire built his entire life around music, hence music was more than a creative expression. It was a way to get intimate with people and build community.

So, whether
it was starting the popular Rap Round Robin, a hip-hop event hosted annually;
championing young musicians; or performing in his band, Speak N’ Eye,
with his younger brother Aaron, Joshua was a true believer in the
transcendent power of the beat.

Sadly tho’, Joshua died June 21 at his home in Yadkin County of an apparent heart attack at the age of 35.

“(Joshua) was a character, man,” Aaron, the aggrieved brother said. “He did a lot for music around here.”

Joshua
may be best known for Speak N’ Eye, the band he formed with Aaron way back in 2010. A hip-hop band with punk sensibilities, Speak N’ Eye
released nine albums and played a circuit of dive bars and clubs such as
the Black Lodge, Test Pattern and the Garage.

 

The
brothers also introduced the Rap Round Robin to Winston-Salem. Characterized by a
fast-paced, choreographed show that features hip-hop performers
stationed in a circle around the crowd. One act will perform, the lights
will go down and immediately give way to a different act, with the
lights flipped back on.

 

This year’s show is scheduled for July 22 at Monstercade on Acadia Avenue. A way to pay tribute to Joshua is untimely demise.

Joshua was raised in a small coastal city in
eastern North Carolina, at an early age he developed an eclectic taste in music. He
got involved with the music scene while attending East Carolina
University, taking Aaron along with him as they checked out hundreds of
concerts.

Joshua moved to the area in 2010 and soon immersed himself in the local music scene.

Besides promoting his own band, Joshua backed rising talent, including local hip-hop artist OG Spliff.

“Josh
was really passionate about getting the new generation out there,
making sure their voices got heard,” Aaron said. “He had the ability to
get shows booked, and his networking capabilities were really, really
special. If he found a band on the internet, he’d reach out and try to
get them here. More often than not, people were like, ‘Damn, Josh had an
ear for music.’”

He
was also an avid reader, painter and crafter with an obsessive love of
hockey, Aaron said. Joshua worked at Little Richard’s Barbecue in
Clemmons for nearly 12 years.

Carlos Bocanegra, the owner of Monstercade, called Joshua’s death a massive loss to the local music community.

Bocanegra
and the Brookshires were among a group of musicians and artists who
hung around the Black Lodge, Krankies Coffee and Re-Animator Records

“(Joshua) and Aaron performed a couple
of festivals with us, and they were always extremely supportive of any
new artists on the scene,” Bocanegra said. “They wanted Winston-Salem to
be this amazing artistic hub, and they did that together with their
events and the way they treated other artists.”

Bocanegra
noted that he met other local artists at Joshua’s wake, a sign that not
even death could stop Joshua from bringing together creative people.

“I miss him,” Bocanegra said. “I really loved him.”
