Lil Keedย unexpectedlyย passed away on Friday (May 13)ย at just 24 years old, but an official cause of death has yet to be confirmed. According toย TMZ,ย there are some clues as to what possibly happened. Source close to the Young Stoner Life (YSL) rapper claim Keed was experiencing severe stomach pain just days before his death and sought medical treatment at a Los Angeles hospital.
Although Lil Keed had struggled with drugs and alcohol for years, he was supposedly clean and sober in recent months. Even so, sources say his liver and kidneys started shutting down, which ultimately led to his death.
Many of Keed’s friends, family and collaborators areย mourning his passingonline, including his brother Lil Gotit who wrote, “Can’t believe I seened u die today bro I did all my cries.
I know what u want me to do and that’s go hard for Mama Daddy Our Brothers Naychur and Whiteboy.”
Lil Gotit later provided an update on YSL founderย Young Thugย and Gunna’s current legal predicaments while talking about his grief.
“Talked to @thuggerthugger1 yesterday,” he wrote. “keed u fucked him up with this one but we know you guarding him through these times and make sure he gone be alright We da Proud Family can’t nothing stop us. Talked to @gunna he good just sad what’s goin on wit twin but everything gone be in our favor.”
The Los Angeles County Coroner’s office is expected to do an autopsy later this week.ย HipHopDXย sends our condolences to Lil Keed’s loved ones.
