Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, known professionally as Wizkid, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. He started recording music at the age of 11 and managed to release a collaborative album with the Glorious Five, a group he and a couple of his church friends formed.

Wizkid who was in Illorin on Christmas night will not live to forget his experience as he was mobbed by fans which almost took over the stage when he said “Hug is free”  (ofe ni hug),  and some reportedly climbed trees just to have a glimpse of him.

The highlight of the whole event was when an elderly woman got hold of Wizkid and refused to let go despite plea from  him.
