Carlton Douglas Ridenhour (born August 1, 1960), known in the hip hop scene and beyond as Chuck D, is an American rapper. The leader of the rap group Public Enemy, which he co-founded in 1985 with Flavor Flav, Chuck D helped create politically and socially conscious hip hop music in the mid-1980s. He is ranked by The Source magazine at No. 12 on their list of the Top 50 Hip-Hop Lyricists of All Time.

Artis Leon Ivey Jr. (born August 1, 1963), popularly known as Coolio, is an American rapper, singer, record producer, and actor. Coolio got to the limelight in the mid-to-late 1990s with his albums It Takes a Thief (1994), Gangsta’s Paradise (1995), and My Soul (1997). He is best known for his 1995 Grammy Award-winning hit single “Gangsta’s Paradise“, as well as other singles “Fantastic Voyage” (1994), “1, 2, 3, 4 (Sumpin’ New)” (1996) and “C U When U Get There” (1997)
