Up From Here originally began as an acoustic duo in 2014, formed by lead vocalist and guitarist Danny Anderson. While the band’s demos helped them gain recognition, it was their live shows that solidified their place in the Tampa music scene. Up From Here became regulars at local venues and started road-tripping to other cities, expanding their fanbase across Florida and beyond.

Their talent did not go unnoticed. In 2015, they were selected as one of the five winners of Ernie Ball’s Warped Tour Battle of the Bands for the St. Petersburg date. This win gave the band an opportunity to perform at one of the most iconic festivals in the country and was a major milestone in their journey.

In 2016, Up From Here shared the stage with an impressive list of bands, including Hawthorne Heights, The Ataris, Handguns, Norma Jean, Johnny Craig, and many more. Recorded by Lee Dyess at Earthsound Recording, the EP marked the band’s first major studio effort and showcased their growth as a group.

That same year, they released their first music video for the song “Backtracked” and completed their first two tours, building momentum and further solidifying their place in the pop punk community.

In 2017, Up From Here’s momentum continued to build. They opened for I See Stars and performed at the Word Of South festival in Tallahassee, Florida. The band also completed another summer tour and were once again selected as the winner of the Ernie Ball PLAY Warped Tour for the St. Petersburg date, which led to another high-profile appearance on the prestigious festival’s stage.
