Despite grappling with limited resources for recording, Jay Sprouse held steadfast to his vision of capturing a full band sound. This dream materialized in the fall of 2009, when fate led him to Austin, TX. There, amidst the vibrant music scene, Jay found kindred spirits in two exceptionally talented musicians. Together, they convened at The Bubble Recording Studio, a revered local haunt known for its ability to conjure musical magic. Over a transformative span of three days, they meticulously distilled the essence of Jay’s musical vision into what would become an EP of extraordinary depth and resonance. Caught in devil’s town but let it shine, Partitioning hate, Lust for pretty wholes, There we fall in love with the stakes.” This sets the tone for a song that oscillates between hope and harsh reality.
