BE TEXAS – public prayers

Meet Be Texas, a Nigerian Afrobeat artist based in France, but born as George Eromosele Palmer on 19/06/1990 in Nigeria. His journey as a music artist began in Nigeria, where dreams were abundant, but financial constraints hindered the execution of His projects. Thanks to the grace of God, His elder brother took Him to France in 2011, allowing Him to work and gradually accumulate the funds needed to turn His dreams into reality.

The path hasn’t been easy, filled with challenges and struggles. However, with determination and faith in His abilities, He started making music, driven by the belief that He could create impactful songs that resonate globally once He achieve financial stability. Despite limited resources, He managed to release several hit songs, playing shows across Europe and collaborating with artists from Spain and Nigeria, including renowned figures like Iyanya in Paris.

Throughout this journey, the lack of external support and belief from others didn’t deter Him. Instead, He focused on finding the right connections and places that would propel His career forward. With God’s help, things started falling into place, enabling Him to independently release singles over the years.

His latest single, “Republic Prayers,” dropped a few days ago, receiving positive reactions from those who heard it. This reaffirms His belief in His musical abilities and encourages Him to continue pushing boundaries. He is currently working on more hit songs, eager to share His passion and talent with the world in the near future.

The journey may be tough, but my determination remains unwavering as I strive to make an impact in the music industry. – Be Texas

Mike Dunne – Not Today

Mike Dunne was born into a family of musicians. His Irish grandmother toured Ireland with her two
brothers in her band. His mother, who had moved to America, was a classical pianist and teacher who
started him on his musical journey as soon as he could sit on a piano bench. The guitar became his focus as a teenager and is his gateway to melody to this day. While his music remained his centering influence, his path took him to medical school and a career in clinical research.

Like a patient friend waiting to welcome him home, music started calling once again. In 2022 he released his first album, Imaginaire, a compilation of songs written on the guitar, influenced by the Ireland within him. His second album, These Eyes, is purposefully diverse in character, with songs rooted in rock’n roll, country, folk as well some more difficult to categorize. The poetry in these songs takes on a more somber tone however, reflecting on the January 6th uprising, consequences of colonialization, and the loneliness of isolation. Hope is never far away, though. There is a Zen story of perseverance and, as always, the joy of partnership with those we love.
