RAP RADAR PODCAST CLICKS WITH WMG

Rap Radar has been added to Warner Music Group‘s new in-house podcast network, Interval Presents expanding portfolio. The show which is hosted by hip-hop journalists Elliott Wilson and Brian “B.Dot” Miller, will feature interviews with hip hop big names such as JAY-Z, Drake, J. Cole and A$AP Rocky.

The move is further indication of the majors’ push to ensure that
their music content is well represented amid the podcast boom.

ā€œPartnering with Rap Radar was a natural fit for Interval Presents,” said the latter’s GM, Allan Coye.
“The show embodies our mission to uplift diverse voices through content
that touches on music, pop culture and social impact. Elliott &
B.Dot are titans in the hip-hop community who have brought us some of
the most captivating and honest interviews with the biggest artists in
the genre. We’re excited to help the show reach new heights.ā€

Wilson, who crowned Future “the best rapper alive” in a GQ cover
story in April, is equally thrilled about the, um, future. “We’re
excited to work with the Interval Presents team and to continue to have
dialogue and conversation that speak to the minds of the ever-growing
hip-hop community,ā€ reads a quote attributed to him. ā€œInterval Presents
stands for values rooted in authenticity and music artistry, making the
network the perfect home for our podcast.ā€

The new season of Rap Radar will drop on the 18th of August. Stay tuned!

Kool G Rap Unveils Album Cover Art

Kool G Rap is set to drop his new album titled ” The Last of a Dying Breed” later this month. The
star-studded album is a who’s who of classic Hip-Hop.

Confirmed collaborations
include Sean Price, NEMS, AZ, Royal Flush, Al Skratch, Vado, Folkland
LOS, AllHipHop’s co-founder Chuck ā€œJigsawā€ Creekmur and others that have
yet to be announced. The project is being put out by the National
Hip-Hop Museum of DC and exclusively produced by Domingo.

Prior to the unveiling, the artwork on the new album was unknown. At this point Kool G Rap has clocked in over 30 years in Hip
Hop. He’s a lyricist with few peers. And, at this stage in his career,
he is definitely a unique proposition in a rap community flooded with
younger rappers.

The cover is extremely cinematic, which matches the vibe of KGR’s rap
style. The 50-something year ol r#### isn’t trying to hide his age or
pretend to be something he’s not. A closer look show him holding a Gucci
bag, with a big chain and his staple Carhartt jacket.

G Rap, Slick Rick, Whodini, Diamond D, Speech and UTFO (RIP Kangol
Kid) will all be honored by The National Hip-Hop Museum of Washington,
DC the day the album drops on August 26th. ā€œAs founder (Of NHHM), I feel
obligated to seek out and find projects that best preserve and honor
iconic MCs like Kool G Rap,ā€ Beaver said in a statement.
