DaBaby shares his “Beatbox (Freestyle)”

DaBaby has officially shared his take on SpotEmGottem’s viral April 2020 single “Beat Box.” The track rose to popularity for 

“Beat Box 2” a colaborative remix with Pooh Shiesty.” DaBaby’s version was first teased with a one-minute snippet posted on his Instagram earlier this week before he unleashed the official music video for it as well on the 19th of February for fans to enjoy. On the track, DaBaby delivers his signature flow over the viral beat:


Back in November, DaBaby‘ shared his project My Brother’s Keeper (Long Live G), where the North Carolina artist opens up about his feelings after losing his 34-year old brother Glenn Johnson. Prior to that, he revealed his third studio LP BLAME IT ON BABY, which included 13 new tracks and collaborations alongside Quavo, Future, Roddy Ricch, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Megan Thee Stallion, and more. DaBaby dropped KIRK and also his breakthrough project Baby On Baby both in 2019. In May, he and Roddy Ricch celebrated as their single “Rockstar” became officially certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Yung Bleu Gifts Boosie Badazz $100K for Continued Support Amid Music Success

Boosie Badazz was gifted the ultimate sign of gratitude when Yung Bleu gave him $100,000. 

The Alabama native took to Instagram where he shared a clip of him giving Boosie 100 racks in cash. In the caption, he explains that Boosie believed in him when few did, so now they deserve to ball together.

“100 RACKS just for supporting me FROM THE JUMP @boosienewig,” Yung Bleu wrote. “TOLD U PUT THE BALL IN MY HAND I WAS GONE SCORE ! #Badazz 🌙 we up more otw 💰”

Despite being managed by Meek Mill, Yung Bleu was discovered by Boosie and signed to Boosie’s Badazz Syndicate independent record label. Through this agreement, Bleu is able to remain an indie artist and own his masters. 

“It’s no more Bleu and Boosie jointed with a major label! It’s just Bleu and Boosie doing what the fuck they wanna do,” Bleu said in an interview with DJ Vlad. “We do what we wanna do. We good.”

Boosie seemed to appreciate this good fortune, posting a video referring to himself as the “big CEO” on Instagram with Yung Bleu’s collaboration with Drake, “Your Mine Still,” playing in the background. Boosie then stacked all the money Bleu gave him in his arms while proclaiming his gratitude via the caption. 

“#Grateful CEO 100k CASH @bleuvandross #bigceo #bigceo,” Boosie wrote. “THANK U.”

RODDY RICCH & 42 DUGG’S ATLANTA VIDEO SHOOT REPORTEDLY ERUPTS IN GUNFIRE, 3 PEOPLE SHOT

It seems the hip hop community has got more guns violence this days than in Pac and Biggie Smalls days,  this time during a video shoot with Roddy Ricch and 42 Dugg in Atlanta, Georgia. According to WSB-TV 2, three people were shot and two hospitalized on Sunday afternoon (February 22), although their injuries appear to be non-life threatening. 

Officers responded to shots fired at a scrap yard on Wells Street around 4 p.m. local time and discovered a man grazed by bullets. He was assessed at the scene by Grady EMS, while two other men who were shot drove themselves to Grady Memorial Hospital. Those victims’ conditions haven’t been released.

Although reporter Steve Gehlbach confirmed the shooting took place during Roddy and Dugg’s shoot, he was unable to verify if either rapper was on the set at the time or involved in any way.

“Music video set turns into crime scene as someone opens fire,” Gehlbach tweeted. “At least 3 people shot and two now in the hospital.”

JIM JONES LINKS WITH HARRY FRAUD FOR ‘THE FRAUD DEPARTMENT’

 

In a recent appearance on the Joe Budden podcast, Jim Jones disclosed to fans that he would be releasing an onslaught of music this year, beginning with a collaboration with Harry Fraud. 


 The new release features Belly, Dave East, Trav, Curren$y, Jay Worth, Conway the Machine, French Montana, and more. 
The new album follows the stellar El Capo album and deluxe edition, which Jones dropped off this year.
The joint effort titled The Fraud Department is now available.

Smilee Drops New Music Titled Elon Musk

 Born in Portugal with roots from Angola and Ghana. Smilee has been in the music industry for a while and has collaborated with a couple of few artists in her city. She released her first song in 2019. 

She is a rapper, singer, and song writer. Her style of music is characterized as Afro and American. Ms. Lauryn Hill and Kanye West are some of her greatest role models. 

Smilee is currently  based in Glasgow but London will start seeing more of her in a minute as her next song will feature FEUX, a well known artist based in London.
