NICKI MINAJ ADMITS SHE GOT ‘WASHED’ ON ‘SEEING GREEN’ WITH DRAKE & LIL WAYNE

Nicki Minaj is enjoying all of the praise from her latest single “Seeing Green” and re-release of her 2009 Beam Me Up Scotty mixtape.

The multi-platinum Queens rapper is back to having a chit chat with fans on social media and participating in Instagram Live sessions. 

On Saturday (May 15), a fan shared a graphic featuring some of their favorite lines from Nicki as well as her Young Money Cash Money Billionaires brothers Drake and Lil Wayne.

When the fan asked Nicki what her favorite line was, the Pink Friday artist couldn’t name just one, but her reply also came with an admission.

“Way too many,” Nick wrote. “All I know is that they washed me on #SeeingGreen I’m a woman enough to admit when I’ve been washed on a track by the Greats. And it’s ok #Barbz I’ve washed them b4. We’ll live through this one. I was still a lil rusty. I washed them in my head on #Fractions.”

“Seeing Green” is the trio’s first collaborative work since the 2017 single “No Frauds.” Outside of the 2009 Young Money compilation album We Are Young Money. The trio have joined forces for two other major singles, 2014’s “Only” featuring Chris Brown and 2015’s “Truffle Butter.”

During Nicki’s time on social media, she decided to address cocaine use allegations made by Azaelia Banks after an Instagram Live session on Thursday (May 13). 

 â€œI don’t know if it’s just me, but I wouldn’t be embarrassed about any fuckin’ drugs I did,” she claimed. “That’s why I talk about the muthafuckin’ drugs I do in my muthafuckin’ music. Always have, always fuckin’ will. If I’m off ’em, I’m off ’em, child.

“But, I want to make this clear so open everybody’s ears, clear them ears out. I have never, ever in my life with my hands on Jesus Christ — and y’all know how I feel about my Lord and savior — never in my life, ever, not even once sniffed coke. Ever.”

DRAKE & NICKI MINAJ LINK UP FOR POLO G ‘HALL OF FAME’ LISTENING SESSION

Drake and Nicki Minaj gon’ always be connected at the hip. They became very close friends as members of Lil Wayne’s Young Money collective and their respective careers share a similar trajectory that propelled them to the limelight of the Hip Hop music community. 

 They haven’t really been seen together over the last few years, so when they do meet up, social media buzz. On Thursday (June 10), Nicki Minaj got fans go gaga when she posted a clip of her and Drake having an impromptu listening session for Polo G’s new album Hall of Fame.

In the video, Nicki and Drake were vibing to “For the Love of New York” which features the Queens native. 

Nicki fixed her hair and hit her trademark adlib while Drake started flexing his jewelry behind her. “Look who stopped by y’all,” Nicki said in the video. “The G.O.A.T stopped by.”
 

As expected, fans took to social media to talk about the meet up and many were hoping it was a hint at another collaboration between the two superstars. In May, Nicki and Drake joined forces with Lil Wayne for a lyrical assault on “Seeing Green,” one of the new tracks added to the re-release of the Queen rapper’s 2009 breakout mixtape, Beam Me Up Scotty. 

 A fan on Twitter asked Nicki what her favorite lines off “Seeing Green” were and although Nicki couldn’t choose she admitted she got worked on her own song.

MEGAN THEE STALLION TELLS FAN SHE’S RECLAIMING THE WORDS ‘THOT’ & ‘HOE’

With Megan Thee Stallion’s month-long absence from the music scene, fans are bursting at the seams waiting to hear the new tune she’s been working on. Megan announced her return with the arrival of “Thot Shit” on Friday (June 11) and fans can’t get enough of the suggestive title of the song.

On Thursday (June 10), a fan on Twitter asked Megan Thee Stallion what inspired her to make a record like “Thot Shit” and the Houston native said it’s a moment for her to take ownership of words that have been long deemed harmful and derogatory towards women.

“I’m really just talking shit and taking ownership of the words ‘thot’ and ‘hoe’ bc they’re not the drag the men think it is when trying to come at women for doing them,” Megan wrote on Twitter.

According to a statement, “Thot Shit” is a song “that celebrates women unapologetically enjoying themselves, doing whatever they want, whenever they want, regardless of what the critics have to say.” 

 By the sound of it, “Thot Shit” looks to be another anthem, much like Megan Thee Stallion’s previous records. All this news shows Megan could be picking up right where she left off before taking her break from her monstrous run in 2020. 
 On April 22, Megan announced her break with an animated clip showing her sleeping inside a liquid chamber with a digitally typed message for her Hotties explaining her upcoming absence and how her team will be managing her social media accounts.
 â€œMegan Thee Stallion is recharging,” it reads. “Due to the demands of the Hot Girl lifestyle Meg has now entered a period of regeneration to prepare for what’s next. ….In her absence; mgmt will manage all social posting on behalf of Thee Hot Girl Coach. DJ KHALED CONFIRMS THE RETURN OF TINA SNOW IN MEGAN THEE STALLION’S ‘THOT SHIT’ MUSIC VIDEO

Megan Thee Stallion will be making her return on today (June 11) with her next single, “Thot Shit.” And this got fans are anxiously waiting for this new chapter in her music career, especially after she announced the return of her alter ego, Tina Snow.

Of course, loyal fans know Tina Snow is Megan’s more raw and aggressive alter ego, so expectations for “Thot Shit” are high. But it seems like the song is getting a stamp of approval in the raw department, thanks to one of Megan’s friends. 

 On Thursday (June 10), Megan took to her Instagram to post a video of DJ Khaled’s reaction to the new music video the Houston Hottie will be dropping for “Thot Shit.” DJ Khaled laughs to himself right at the start of the video as he couldn’t believe what he just saw. 
 â€œYo, they gon’ actually air this?” Khaled asked in the video. “It’s going on YouTube and all that? Nah! Yo. It’s a new world, and it’s definitely a new video. Let me tell you somethin’.”
 

Khaled continued to shake his head with a smile as he couldn’t come up with the right phrase to describe the “Thot Shit” music video. It looks like Meg’s Hotties will be getting what they asked for with the return of Tina Snow. 

 One inquisitive fan asked Megan what inspired her to do “Thot Shit” and the Hot Girl said she was reclaiming words that people always considered harmful to women.

“I’m really just talking shit and taking ownership of the words’ thot’ and ‘hoe’ bc they’re not the drag the men think it is when trying to come at women for doing them,” Megan wrote on Twitter.

ATLANTA RAPPER DAE DAE LAWYERS UP AS HE DENIES STABBING TEEN DUNKIN DONUTS EMPLOYEE: ‘CAP’

Well known Atlanta rapper Dae Dae is responding to allegations he stabbed a 17-year-old Dunkin’ Donuts employee last December. On Thursday (June 3), the Atlanta Journal Constitution ran a story explaining Union City police had charged Dae Dae with aggravated assault in connection to the crime and were currently looking for him. 

 A long time-deleted video clip of the altercation was shared to Instagram the day it happened, which showed a man bearing a striking resemblance to Dae Dae violently attacking the girl with a knife. But according to Dae Dae, that’ was not him in the video. 
The 28-year-old artist issued an official statement to his Instagram account denying the allegations.

“Don’t go for it,” he said in his Instagram Story. “That’s all I want to tell you. Don’t go for it. Don’t go for it…Cap. You know that don’t look nothing like me! Dae tote sticks, and you know this.”

He also posted a video of a local news channel reporting on the stabbing to his page and captioned it, “Anything To Slammer My Name Huh…They Would Wanna See Me Dead Or In Jail. It’s Crazy the Type Music I Drop Is Nun But Motivation Music They Treatin me Like A Mass Criminal…NOT EVEN Trippen Lawyer Paid Up And Ima Drop Faster On You P*ssiess…Tell That…Stay Tune WATCH THIS.”

 

Back in December 5, 2020, the teenage victim told police a man believed to be Dae Dae stopped by the Dunkin Donuts store located on Jonesboro Road in Fulton County in a red Audi around 6 p.m. local time and became agitated when he couldn’t “get what he wanted.” 

 Although the man momentarily left, he promptly returned to continue arguing with the girl. The altercation then turned physical and the man pulled out a knife, striking the girl in the process. However, she refused to get medical treatment. 
 But as Dae Dae noted, he’s hired legal counsel to ensure his name is cleared and maintains he had absolutely nothing to do with the situation.

In 2018, Dae Dae was arrested on stolen gun and drug charges after a Chevrolet Tahoe he was riding in was stopped for speeding in Greene County.

A representative from the Greene sheriff’s office said deputies found marijuana and a stolen gun after searching the car. Dae Dae claimed he didn’t know the gun was stolen and was later released.

HIT-BOY & DOM KENNEDY AGREE ON TOP 3 RAPPERS FROM L.A.

 
 Naming the Top 3 rappers from any city is alot of work, most especially Los Angeles with so many legendary artists and a ton of ground to cover. In a recent Dom Kennedy and Hit-Boy interview with HipHopDX, when asked, who they consider the best three L.A. spitters of all time. After settling on including greater Los Angeles, they came to a unanimous decision. 
 â€œThat’s tough, but you know who they are honestly,” Dom Kennedy said. “My favorite artist of all time out of any of this shit is DJ Quik, but if we just going pure rappers, it’s Snoop [Dogg], Nipsey [Hussle] and Ice Cube. Them would be people that it would be impossible to say we move forward without … It’s a lot of great ones, you know I coulda added Dot on there, Kendrick [Lamar], a lot of people. It’s at least three, four or five, me even being one of them. But I would say that those people, that’s who we needed to get the job done.”
 Hit-Boy added, “I’m running with that same list to be honest, not even no funny- that shit for real.”

They also talked about the standout verses on the Hit-Boy-produced “1 Train,” A$AP Rocky’s posse cut featuring Kendrick Lamar, Joey Badass, Yelawolf, Danny Brown, Action Bronson and Big K.R.I.T., along with Kanye West, JAY-Z and Big Sean’s “Clique.”

During the debate, Hit-Boy made known Ye, Hov and Sean originally recorded their lyrics to Dom Kennedy’s 2011 song “CDC,” which features Casey Veggies and cARTer.
 â€œYou wanna know some funny shit, bro?” Hit-Boy said. “‘Clique’ started from a beat I gave Dom. They recorded the original ‘Clique’ to the ‘CDC’ beat and then I flipped it, so that was crazy bro. It’s like full circle for real.”
  
 The rapper – producer duo were also tasked with picking each other’s best verses and beats, with Hit-Boy immediately naming “Platinum Chanel” off From the Westside with Love II. 
Dom Kennedy struggled to pick just one beat, but referenced Nipsey Hussle’s Grammy-winning “Racks in the Middle” as being the same caliber as an N.W.A legend. 
 â€œI thought that ‘Racks in the Middle’ beat was like Dr. Dre level,” Dom Kennedy said. “I remember telling him that. We was listening to the instrumental in the car and I was like, ‘Man, this shit great.’ Just the movement and how heavy it is.”
